INVASIVE SPECIES AND – The ‘SIZE’ OF Parakeets: 42 – 46 cm…
Living To An Average Age “Of – ‘18-25′ Years.”
Note: And – INVASIVE SPECIES ‘The Grey-Squirrel’ – Numbers Explosion ! Lives To Well Over 13 – Yes, ‘Thirteen’ Years…!’
Parakeets “Numbers Explosion…!” Have Displaced And Scared Off Expelling Many Of Our Own Resident Garden Songbirds.
2007: ‘Then there were around ‘30,000′ across the capital.’
This ring necked parakeet which originally came from the Indian subcontinent is now unluckily thriving in London all over the south west and far beyond. Does anyone bother to think what they are all eating…?
The RSPB took the parakeet off the protected list – ‘because it was damaging crops’…
Q: Or Was It Because “They discovered parakeets could take the leg off their beloved sparrowhawk with their nut-cracking beak when it was attacked – ?”
“Sparrowhawks Have Had Legal Protection From the RSPB – Since the Year OF… ‘1954′ – !”
Letter to Songbirds-Slaughter: – ‘The Day The RSPB Starts Protecting Songbirds Is The Day I Return To Its Membership. But, the RSPB just keeps spending its millions on rearing sea kites, sea eagles, peregrines, goshawks, sparrowhawks, buzzards, etc.’
Disgustingly and very disgraceful then that – Their RSPB Members – DO NOT Spend – ‘Their’ Money On – ‘Saving Any Garden Songbirds.’
2012: Parakeet Numbers Unknown – ? “2010 – It was predicted that there would be more than 58,000 then in the capital.”
An urban myth is that they were supposed to descend from a ‘few’ that escaped in west London. This is not true.
The RSPB has done nothing to ‘protect’ our own Garden Birds – ? – “Whose existence it is for our own Songbirds now truly dismal, distressing, and utterly deplorable. Mostly ALL – ARE Heading for Extinction !”
Parakeets nest in holes in trees just like the starling, willow tit and the lesser spotted woodpecker.
The starling and the willow tit are on the conservation red list of – ‘Endangered Threatened Species.’
The ‘lesser’ spotted woodpecker is 70% Dead.
“Parakeets ‘Numbers Explosion’! Disturb, disrupt, interfering with our own native garden songbirds in their resident areas expelling them.” Cont -
Photos: Lesser Redpole – 2010 Numbers Dead 90% – Truly an Outrage and Criminally RSPB – Utterly Incompetent !
IF ‘Your’ ever going to see them? You must do something to change RSPB policies ON Raptors and Corvids – All Hawks, Kites, Buzzards, Crows, Magpies, Jays – “Numbers Explosion !”; Etc.
And ‘their’ – Sparrowhawks. Whose numbers have quadrupled in the last 40 years.
Killing of our Garden Songbirds. Or their Extinction.
‘Better be quick – RSPB.’ You have alone caused it.
“Considerable concern regarding the Lesser Redpole species.”
Whose ‘concern.’ We Wonder? – And Doing Exactly What To ‘Save’ THEM ?
Males red forehead black bib pink cheeks throat breast rump. Feeds amongst alders spruce birch trees hanging upside-down for seeds.
When – Breeding they take insects in summer.
Performs perfectly elaborate rattling songflights over their breeding area.
“1970s down to one-tenth in numbers.” – “1970s down to one-tenth in numbers.” – “1970s down to one-tenth in numbers.”
Yet the little delightful Lesser Redpoll – Has Only Recently Been Moved to This – Loathsome Red ‘Deathly’ List of “species of conservation concern”. Who’s ‘concern ?’ The RSPB? No…! – ‘WHAT’ REALLY ARE ‘YOU’ RSPB – DOING? Anything…?
2010: Numbers Down Again – 90%! SHOCKING – DEAD. RSPB ‘Members?’ “Sparrowhawks have had legal protection from the RSPB since – 1954!” Hawks Which ‘eat’ well just pull apart these minute little Sparrows.
Remember – There are plenty of ways you can help UK’s bird population! Join only grass roots Charities –
“Who really Are Doing Something and putting their money where the truth is – To Save Songbirds.”
Cont: Despite migration plenty of our feathered friends along with these ‘parrots’ which are now more ‘common’ to see than a ‘songbird.’ Stay in the capital when temperatures drop. For many years one of the largest colonies of parakeets with over 7,000 in number; (Though unknown which year). Still continue to congregate at a communal roosting site in Esher, southwest London.
“Parakeets Disturb Disrupt Interfering With Our Native Garden Songbirds – In Their Resident Areas – Expelling Them.”
2011 August 12 - Evening Standard: ‘Holland Park Opera’ -
‘‘Opera goers have a new alien to contend with – the – pesky parakeets. Luckily they were drowned out by some fine singing.”
In theory, large numbers of parakeets could begin ‘decimating’ native songbirds as they are already adding to songbirds burden of predation and making life extra difficult for them.
‘Distressed numbers of songbirds are being unable to nest in peace or being able to breed when parakeet flocks are near or flying overhead.’
“Many new inventions creep in and replace old ones sung from the tallest of tree tops.”
‘Smart sleek acrobatic as – Blue Tits.’
Male offers choice of several nest-sites in tree-holes, or any nestboxes.
The female then takes over 20 days to build their nest.
Help Great Tits: Chicks need protein rich mealworms. Wide variety winter nuts seeds- Summer insects spiders- Autumn fruit berries.
Quality peanut mixtures sunflower hearts fat balls cut-up kitchen scraps. Brood 1; 2?
Foraging on ground Great Tits and their chicks fall victim to Killing – Cats. Grey-Squirrels. Magpies. Sparrowhawks. Etc, etc…
